Welcome Spree Promo: Frequently Asked Questions

The promo is open to principal BPI Credit Card customers who:

a. Do not have an existing Principal BPI Credit Card

b. Do not have a previously cancelled BPI Credit Card in the last twelve (12) months before application

c. Whose applications were received with complete documents by BPI within the promo period; and

d. Whose applications were subsequently approved within 30 days from promo end date.

The following BPI Credit Card variants are qualified for the promo:

a. BPI Platinum Rewards Card

b. BPI Gold Rewards Card

c. BPI Rewards Card

The promo period is from March 18, 2024 to June 30, 2024. 

If the last Principal Credit Card was cancelled for more than twelve (12) months, and customer has no existing Principal BPI Credit Card upon application, then the newly approved Principal Credit Card is eligible to participate in the promo.

To participate:

1. The Principal cardholder must register upon receiving the invitation with their unique promo code via sms and/or email from BPI.

2. The Principal cardholder must register at the registration portal within the spend period, depending on when his credit card was approved.

3. A confirmation page will prompt to confirm receipt of his registration.

4. The Principal cardholder will receive a notification message from Giftaway on his successful registration, and a unique portal link for the eGC hub, through SMS and/or email, within five to seven (5-7) banking days from date of registration.

The Principal cardholder will receive a SMS from BPI on the next banking day once the card is approved.

SMS Message: Congratulations! Your BPI Credit Card application has been approved. Your card will be delivered to your billing address within 10 working days. For inquiries, call 889-10000.

The spend requirement depends on the type of BPI Credit Card that was approved. Newly approved Cardholders can get up to Php 15,000 Giftaway eGC. The Giftaway eGCs are in Php 500 denominations.

Cardholder must register and meet the spend requirement within the spend period.

The SMS approval is sent on the next banking day from system approval, which means the card was approved on March 27, 2024. (March 28 and March 29 are declared Philippine holidays). Thus, the registration and spend period shall be until May 31, 2024. 

Principal Cardholders must register within the applicable spend period.

Principal cardholders can register at the registration portal using the unique alphanumeric promo code sent to his BPI registered email and/or mobile number in BPI’s records.

After the Principal cardholder submits his registration via the registration portal, a page will prompt, confirming receipt of his registration. The Principal cardholder will be notified by Giftaway on the registration result through SMS and/ or E-mail within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the registration date.

The Principal cardholders will be notified on the registration result through his registered contact information via SMS and/or Email in BPI’s system within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the registration date.

No, only the Principal cardholder can register for the promo. However, all qualified purchases made by the Principal cardholder’s Supplementary participating credit card(s) will also qualify for the spend requirement.

The redemption period starts on the next day after the spend period.

The Principal cardholder must choose among the featured eGC partners in essentials, electronics and travel categories.

Redemption can be made at the eGC Hub within the redemption period. To redeem, the Principal cardholder must perform the following:

1. Click the “Redeem Reward” button

2. Choose the eGC store for redemption

3. Click “Redeem”, agree to the terms and conditions by ticking the box and click “Claim”

4. The voucher codes will be displayed and can be accessed on the hub.

Yes, the expiry date per voucher is indicated on the eGC Hub. All unused and unredeemed eGC will be deactivated sixty (60) days from the date of posting of each eGC at the eGC Hub. 

No, the eGCs can only be used once. 

No need to register. Principal cardholders approved of a credit card within the promo period are automatically included in the AMF promo.

The annual spend requirement depends on the type of card that was approved during the promo period.

Once the Principal cardholder has met the annual spend requirement, the AMF will automatically be reversed on the next banking day from the AMF posting. No need to request to waive your AMF.

The first Supplementary card is free for life. For succeeding Supplementary cards, only the first annual membership fee is free. For succeeding years, this will be charged yearly.

The annual spend requirement to waive the annual fee is for twelve (12) months, starting from the card anniversary date until one (1) calendar day prior to the next card anniversary date. The tracking of the annual spend will occur every year.
