BPI Safe Sakay is available in three (3) variants: Basic, Prime, and Elite. These plans offer cash benefits for accidental death, permanent disability and dismemberment, and double indemnity.

Accidental Death and Permanent Disablement. Pays the amount of Insurance, as specified in the policy, to the beneficiary in case of the insured’s death & permanent disablement due to an accident.

Double Indemnity. If the insured’s accidental death occurs while travelling as a fare-paying passenger on board any public transport* (within the Philippines only), the amount payable shall be double the Sum Insured provided in the policy schedule.

Loss shall mean the actual permanent loss of use instead of the actual severance of a body part; with regard to eyes, entire and irrevocable loss of sight. In case of multiple claims, only the highest so specified will be paid for injuries resulting from an accident.

*Public Transport refers to any licensed and regularly scheduled land, sea or air conveyance which has fixed and established routes operating as a form of public transport and any member of the public can join at a recognized stop and pay a fare. Public transport includes taxi services but does not include rented vehicle, vehicle on hire, tour coach or any mode of transportation that is chartered or arranged for the tour.

How can I avail of BPI Safe Sakay?

Here are the steps to avail BPI Safe Sakay:

a. Visit the BPI Safe Sakay page

b. Fill out the online application form under “Get covered today” with your details.

c. Read and confirm your agreement to the insuring terms and conditions, and all other disclosures.

d. Click “Pay Now” button and proceed to payment.

e. Choose your payment method and complete the transaction.

f. Upon successful payment, you will receive an email acknowledging your enrollment and providing a copy of your Confirmation of Insurance Coverage (COIC).

Additional reminders

a. Before making online payments, ensure that the E-commerce access of your BPI Debit Mastercard® is enabled. You can do this through Card Control which you can access in BPI online or app.

b. You can make payments using debit and credit cards and supported wallets.

c. Apply on your desktops or mobile phones. Ensure stable internet connection before proceeding with your enrollment.

d. Review the terms and conditions of the insurance plan carefully before enrolling.

What is BPI Safe Sakay?

A Personal Accident (PA) insurance product designed to provide peace of mind for Filipino commuters, including motorcycle riders.

5. Receive your confirmation of insurance coverage (COIC) via registered e-mail right after your successful payment.
