Centralized Bank Certificate of Deposit

In compliance with BSP Circular no. 1112-2021, BPI will centralize the process of issuing Bank Certificate of Deposit (BCD) for client requests regarding confirmation of accounts and deposit balances. This centralization will be handled by the Head Office for select branches. The Head Office-issued BCDs will be digitally signed by authorized bank signatories. The BCDs will be sent to the client’s address or made available for pick-up at their nominated branch. These digitally signed BCDs are legally equivalent to traditional handwritten versions, as long as they are sent through the bank’s official email address.

Under this new centralized processing, BCD requests received before 12:00 PM will be available on the next banking day, while requests after 12:00 PM will be available after two banking days.

The centralized BCD issuance will be implemented in phases, starting with branches in Metro Manila. Branches not included in the initial implementation will continue to issue BCD with handwritten signatures of Branch Officers (Branch Managers and/or Assistant Branch Managers).
