Advisory: New Requirements for Mobile Check Deposit on the BPI app

Effective February 1, 2025, please be advised that the following information must be written on the front and back of checks to be deposited on the BPI app using the Mobile Check Deposit facility. This is in compliance with the Philippine Clearing House Corporation’s (PCHC) Memo Circular No. 3851.

New requirements:

On the front of the check

1. “BPI" / Payee’s BPI Account Number above the Payee Name

On the back of the check

2. Date of mobile check deposit

3. Payee’s signature

BPI and local bank checks below Php 500,000 are accepted through Mobile Check Deposit on the BPI app. For your convenience, you may already transition to using the new format as it is already accepted by the BPI app.

Mobile check deposits following the current format will be cleared until January 31, 2025 only. Mobile check deposits are subject to the PCHC clearing rules similar to checks deposited at the branch.

This feature is currently available to BPI Preferred, BPI Gold, and BPI Private Wealth clients.
