Mobile check deposit on the BPI app is 100% online, secure, and very convenient. Currently available to BPI Preferred, BPI Gold, and BPI Private Wealth clients, this facility accepts checks below Php 500,000 from any local bank. There are zero fees, and deposit status of the checks can be monitored directly on the BPI app or BPI online (online.bpi.com.ph).
Here are some reminders:
- Payee name should match your BPI account name.
- Write on the back of the check: “Bank of the Philippine Islands” or “BPI”, date of the check deposit (MM/DD/YYYY), your BPI account number, and your signature.
- Checks with erasures will be rejected.
Here’s how to deposit a check on the BPI app:
1. Login > Tap ‘More’ > ‘Check Deposit’.
2. Choose which account to deposit into.
3. Enter the amount and the date written on the check.
4. Take photos of the front and back of the check.
5. Review the details, agree to the ‘Terms & Conditions,’ and tap ‘Confirm’.
A physical copy of the check must be kept for 12 months.
Checks deposited after 3:00 PM on weekends and on holidays will be processed the next banking day.
Here’s how to monitor the status of the checks deposited on the BPI app or BPI online (online.bpi.com.ph):
1. Login > Tap ‘More’ > ‘Check Deposit’.
2. You’ll see a list of all the checks you’ve deposited through the BPI app and the status of each:
