Sustainable Cities: BPI Foundation adopts City of Manila to help the city become climate and disaster resilient

BPI Foundation, the social development arm of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), recently adopted the City of Manila under the "Sustainable Cities: Adopt-A-City" program in partnership with the National Resilience Council (NRC), Carlos P. Romulo Foundation for Peace and Development Inc. (CPRF), and City Government of Manila to help transform Manila into an empowered, disaster-resilient, and sustainable city. The program aims to strengthen the local government unit's scientific knowledge, leadership, and governance capacities to achieve human, economic, and environmental resilience and sustainable development, one city at a time. Reinforcing its mission to be an agent of sustainable positive change to underserved Filipino communities, especially those ravaged by natural calamities, BPI Foundation will fund the three-year program that will benefit around 1.78M local residents.
