BPI will discontinue the option for issuance of BPI Virtual Prepaid Card during Digital Account Opening of #SaveUp account starting March 27, 2024.
Please be advised that option for BPI Virtual Prepaid Card during Digital Account Opening for #SaveUp account will be discontinued starting March 27, 2024. Replacement requests due to compromised card will no longer be accommodated starting March 27, 2024. Existing cards issued prior to said dates will remain usable.
Customers with newly opened #SaveUp account may conveniently request for a BPI Debit Mastercard® through BPI online or app or at any BPI branch. This offers the same features as the virtual prepaid card like continued access to E-commerce transactions, plus additional benefits such as ATM access and in-store payment options.

- All new clients who will be availing #SaveUp via Digital Account opening starting March 27, 2024.
- All existing clients who will request for replacement due to compromised card after starting March 27, 2024.
I have an existing BPI Virtual Prepaid Card. Can I still use it online?
Yes, you may continue using your BPI Virtual Prepaid Card until its expiry date.
Can I get a new BPI Virtual Prepaid Card after my existing card expires?
No, issuance of Virtual Prepaid Card will be discontinued starting March 27, 2024. You can request for a BPI Debit Mastercard® through BPI online or app or at any BPI branch.
What product can you suggest instead of BPI Virtual Prepaid Card that would still allow purchases online?
You may use your existing BPI Debit Mastercard ® or request for a which allows you to do more:
- Use your card for in-store or point-of-sale (POS) terminals local and abroad, wherever Bancnet and Mastercard is accepted.
- Pay for E-commerce purchases and services wherever Mastercard is accepted.
- Withdraw from any Bancnet or Mastercard affiliated ATM here and abroad.
