A total of 2,837 BPI employees, retirees, and registered dependents got their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Ayala Group’s partnership with the Makati, Taguig, Parañaque, and Quezon City LGUs and during the first week of the Ayala Vaccine and Immunization Program (AVIP).

The Ayala-LGU A4 vaccinations started last June 14 at the UP Technohub mega vaccination site in Quezon City where over a hundred BPI employees got vaccinated just during the first day. 248 Unibankers got vaccinated in the Makati Stock Exchange in Makati last June 21, and over 300 Unibankers received their first jabs in the BGC Parkade in Taguig and Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque last June 28.

With the arrival of the first tranche of Ayala’s pre-ordered vaccines, BPI employees, retirees, and registered dependents got in line in the first batch of AVIP vaccinations in Bonifacio Global City Parkade in Taguig, UP Technohub in Quezon City, and Makati Stock Exchange in Makati last July 5. The AVIP vaccinations in Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque and Ayala Malls Solenad in Sta. Rosa Laguna started on July 8. Vaccinations are being administered based on the IATF-DOH prioritization matrix.

Unibankers who took their first jabs in the mega vaccination sites proudly posed for the camera and encouraged their fellow Unibankers to get vaccinated as well.

Among them is Lester Cruz of BPI Direct BanKo Collection department. “Magpa-vaccine na rin kayo for your own good, especially para sa safety na rin ng ating family,” he said.

In our road going #VaccToNormal as economic front liners, our 100% participation is expected to ensure 100% safe workplaces and homes.

BPI Chief Human Resources Officer Gina Eala continues to encourage everyone to get their vaccines through the Ayala vaccination programs.

“Our target is really 100% of our employee population to be vaccinated. What we want is for no one to get left behind. For those who are undecided or do not want to get vaccinated, please feel free to consult with us and medical professionals. We are more than willing to convince you to get vaccinated for your safety and for the safety of your families. Let us make this a common goal because this is the only way we can all go back to normal,” she said in the July 6 #VaccToNormal forum.

Gina was among the first batch of Ayala citizens to get vaccinated through the AVIP. “It is important for all of us to be vaccinated not only for our protection, but for the sake of our families and our customers,” she said.

President and CEO TG Limcaoco also pushes for the vaccination of all BPI employees.

“We are excited to start our #VacctoNormal campaign. Please participate and have yourselves vaccinated. I actually have been vaccinated with Sinovac. This is one step we should take so that we are able to fight, conquer, and end the pandemic. Let’s all help each other whenever we can,” TG said.

The Ayala group has secured 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines through tripartite agreements with the government. Starting this July upon the arrival of more pre-ordered vaccines, Unibankers registered under AVIP will get vaccinated in 24 established mega-sites around the country. The Ayala group aims to administer these vaccines by the end of the year.
