The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) continues to bring financial services closer to Filipino communities and marking another milestone in its commitment to accessible banking, as it partners with CVM Pawnshop and Money Changer Corp. (CVM Pawnshop), a trusted one-stop shop for urgent financial needs with a nationwide reach.

In a contract signing held on February 5, 2025, executives from both BPI and CVM Pawnshop officially launched CVM Pawnshop as a BPI Partner Store, enabling it to accept BPI product applications, deposit, and withdrawal transactions from BPI customers across over 200 branches nationwide.
"This partnership with CVM Pawnshop is an exciting step forward in providing our customers with more touchpoints to manage their financial needs. Apart from pawning valuables, paying bills, or sending remittances, they can now also apply for a BPI product, deposit, and withdraw cash—all in one location," said Rally Jereza, Head of BPI Agency Banking.
Through the “May BPI Dito” initiative, BPI is expanding banking accessibility by integrating its financial services into CVM Pawnshop’s extensive network which aligns with BPI's mission to broaden its reach and serve more communities by leveraging trusted partner establishments. This initiative makes everyday banking more convenient, efficient, and accessible—especially for those in areas with limited banking options.
"You can now apply for a BPI product at any of the over 200 participating CVM branches, and if you are a BPI account holder, you can withdraw or deposit money for FREE over-the-counter at any nearby CVM Pawnshop branch instead of paying fees at another bank's ATM or traveling to another branch," said Paul Cancio V, President and COO of CVM Pawnshop, the country’s top gadget pawnshop. "At the same time, they can take advantage of CVM Pawnshop's services, including pawning their gadgets and jewelry at the highest appraisal values in the market if they need quick additional cash, or they can also shop for pre-owned gadgets."
