BPI Wealth scores triple triumph across three prestigious award-giving bodies

Ayala-led Bank of the Philippine Islands’ (BPI) wealth management arm, BPI Wealth, recently secured top accolades from the International Finance Awards, Digital CX Awards, and the CFA Society Philippines Best Managed Funds of the Year Awards.

BPI Wealth clinched the title of Best Asset Manager in the Philippines for the eighth consecutive year at the prestigious International Finance Awards (IFA). In the past 12 years, IFA has been recognizing companies all over the globe for their contribution to groundbreaking initiatives that benefit and impact the global community. The award has been bestowed to BPI Wealth since 2017 for its outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in asset management.

In 2023, BPI Wealth reported a record-year with its AUM breaching the P1-trillion mark, a feat made possible by collective growth in four key client segments - Institutional, High Net Worth, Mass Affluent, and Retail.

Best in Digital Solutions

BPI Wealth also clinched two awards in The Digital Banker Digital CX Awards 2024. The firm was recognized as "Best Wealth Manager for Digital CX in the Philippines" and "Best Digital CX in Account Opening and Customer Onboarding for Wealth Management." These awards highlight BPI Wealth's exceptional digital customer experience initiatives, which aim to streamline and enhance the wealth management process for clients through innovative digital solutions.

One of the banner initiatives in the company’s shift towards digitalization was the digital account opening process which was launched in 2022. As of end 2023, over 11,000 applications were successfully opened through the platform, generating more than PHP358Mn in incremental assets under management (AUM). Digital investment account opening also served as an effective acquisition tool as it acquired over 7,000 new customers for BPI Wealth.

Award-winning investment funds

Adding to its growing list of industry-wide accolades is the company’s notable success at the CFA Society Philippines Best Managed Fund of the Year Awards. Among a competitive pool of 136 qualified funds from 17 esteemed investment houses and Trust Institutions, three of its managed Unit Investment Trust Funds stood out as the Best Managed Fund of the Year.

These wins underscore BPI Wealth's position as a leader in investment management.  BPI US Equity Index Feeder Fund which tracks the performance of the S&P500 won Best Managed Fund of the Year for Dollar Global Equity Feeder Fund category while the BPI Global Equity Fund-of-Funds won Best Managed Fund of the Year for Dollar Equity Fund category. Meanwhile for local funds, BPI Philippine Infrastructure Equity Index Fund won Best Managed Fund of the Year for Peso Equity Funds.
