BPI Gold clients were given an exclusive preview of the multimedia exhibition "Zóbel: The Future of the Past," marking a unique opportunity to experience Fernando Zóbel de Ayala's art in an intimate setting.
Following a highly celebrated stint at the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid, which drew 80,000 visitors in 2022, the groundbreaking art event made its Asian debut at the Ayala Museum this past September.

Co-curated by Felipe Pereda and Manuel Fontán del Junco, the exhibition highlights Zóbel's remarkable ability to bridge artistic traditions across Asia, America, and Europe. Notably, "Zóbel: The Future of the Past" is only the second exhibition at the Prado dedicated to modern art by a 20th-century artist, following in the footsteps of Pablo Picasso.

This exhibition coincides with several significant milestones: the 100th birth anniversary of Fernando Zóbel, the 190th anniversary of Ayala Corporation, and the 50th anniversary of the Ayala Museum. These celebrations provide a fitting backdrop for this monumental retrospective.
BPI Gold clients enjoyed an exclusive viewing of the extensive collection, which includes works from private collections and esteemed art institutions worldwide, such as the Harvard Art Museum. This event offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view Zóbel’s oeuvre in its entirety, including pieces that have never been displayed before, such as the iconic "El Cristo de Lepanto [Lepanto Crucifix] (1964).”
